George Breslauer


George Breslauer earned his PhD in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 1973 and then proceeded to join the faculty of UC Berkeley, where he has dedicated his entire career. Steadily advancing through the ranks, Breslauer was appointed ChancellorÍs Professor in 1998, and he currently serves as Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost. Breslauer is a renowned authority on Soviet and Russian politics and has authored or edited 12 books on the subject, his latest being ñGorbachev and Yeltsin as Leaders.î
