Chip Conley


Chip Conley is the founder and executive chairman of Joie de Vivre, CaliforniaÍs largest boutique hotel company consisting of over 40 award-winning hotels, spas and restaurants. Chip and his companyÍs time-tested techniques and transformational leadership practices have been featured in Fast Company, Fortune and the Wall Street Journal. Also a best-selling author, Chip illustrates the theory that transformed his business and shares his unique prescription for success (even in turbulent times) in his latest book PEAK: How Great Companies Get Their Mojo from Maslow (Jossey-Bass 2007). Honored by the San Francisco Business Times as the ñMost Innovative CEOî in the Bay Area, Chip is the founder of San FranciscoÍs annual Celebrity Pool Toss fundraiser, which has raised more than $4 million for families in San FranciscoÍs Tenderloin District. Chip received his BA and MBA from Stanford University and was bestowed an honorary doctorate in psychology from Saybrook Graduate School in 2009.
