Nanxi Liu has studied piano since she was 6 years old and loves all genres of music. As a member of Cal Community Music, Nanxi enjoys playing music with fellow Berkeley students and hopes to collaborate with more students on campus. Last summer, Nanxi was a volunteer piano teacher and believes that every student should have the opportunity to learn music. She’s been featured on the cover of Clavier Music Magazine, won the Colorado State Music Festival Piano Solo Competition and performed piano live on NBC.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBerkeley, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBerkeley event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
