Only a limited number of TEDxBerkeley registrations are available each year; they’re granted at the discretion of the TEDxBerkeley team based on a broad set of criteria aimed at ensuring a rich and stimulating exchange of ideas among a diverse group of peers. Priority is given to current students and faculty at UC Berkeley, but we expect to have a diverse audience of remarkable people from around the Bay Area.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBerkeley, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBerkeley event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
